Plus-2 Forum hails Secretary Education on framing Committee for ACP

Jammu, Apr 8: Monthly meeting of All J&K Plus-2 Lecturers' Forum was held under the chairmanship of State President Deepak Sharma to discuss various issues and demands pertaining to Plus-2 Cadre.
Forum hailed Commissioner Secretary Education Sarita Chouhan for constitution of a committee to address Assured Career Progression Scheme and other issues concerning Plus-2 Lecturers.
Deepak Sharma informed the house that Forum has been demanding running grade, time bound promotion in favour of Plus-2 Lecturers since long but they have got only false promises in return by successive governments despite the fact that assured career progression scheme was announced in Budgetary Provisions of 2017-18 for all Gazetted officers of J&K Government including Plus-2 Lecturers.
Forum express gratitude to governor's administration for their intervention especially Advisor Khurshid Ahmed Ganaie to look into the issues of Plus-2 Community and hoped that soon practical shape will be given to ACP by the committee designated for the purpose.
Forum also demanded expediting of "regularization process of all in charge incumbents, retirees of Education Department right from Lecturer to Joint Director and revocation of SRO-202 for all government employees including Plus-2 Lecturers.
They also demanded either fixation of induction quota in favour of Plus-2 Lecturers or appointment of Joint Directors in Education Department only from the officers drawn from School Education Department. Other demands on which forum sought governments immediate attention were restoration of 40% college quota in favour of Plus-2 Lecturers and non-vacational status to principals, head of the institutions and also removal of pay anomalies and regularization of Physical Education Lecturers.
Prominent among others present in the meeting were N.S. Jamwal, Anil Sharma, R.S. Slathia, Charan Dass, Tarsem Singh, Sanjay Bhagat, Pardeep Singh and Anwar Khan.
