Special cricket coaching camp begins at KC Sports Club

Jammu, Apr 8: Playing a stellar role in the mission to bring the youth of J&K in global limelight in as many sports and games as possible, KC Sports Club this summer has taken the initiative to arrange a specialized coaching camp in Cricket with Rodney Jones, ex-selector, assessor and senior coach of the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB), UK. The camp commenced with immense enthusiasm today morning at the indoor Cricket Hall of KC Sports Club. The 12 days long camp will conclude on April 19. The formal inauguration function was presided over by Raju Chowdhary, Chairman of KC Group of Industries. In his inaugural address to the assembly of young cricket aspirants of J&K attending the camp and some senior officials, he extended a warm welcome to the visiting cricket coach of world fame and thanked him for sparing his precious time for the young cricketers of J&K who would benefit a great deal from his experience and skills. He also advised the young cricketers attending the camp to make the best of the opportunity under the guidance of a world class Cricket coach and thereby enhance their own levels of skill and improvement in the game within the short duration of the camp. In response to special invitation sent to apex sports bodies of the State of J&K to send their trainees to this special Cricket coaching camp, the J&K Sports Council has sent 15 of its promising young cricketers and the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Government of J&K has sponsored 12 students.
