100 bedded Girls Hostel inaugurated at Sarthal

KISHTWAR, Nov 2: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana today inagurated 100 bedded girls hostel building at Girls Higher Secondary School, Sarthal (under -RMSA) besides laid foundation stones for construction of Tourist Reception Center Part-II (Under- PMRP) at Sarthal and Construction of Tourist Cafeteria at Kishtwar here.
The ceremony was attended by ADDC Kishtwar, Mohd. Hanief Malik, ADC Kishtwar, Pawan Kumar Parihar, CEO Kishtwar, Kuldeep Kumar, XEN KDA Kishtwar Gh Nabi Ahanger, Dy. CEO, Rajinder Sen, AEE PWD (R&B) Syed Ajaz, Sapranches, Panches, locals, besides concerned officers were present.
It was informed to the DDC that, 100 bedded girls hostel building at Girls Higher Secondary School, Sarthal (under-RMSA) has been completed at an estimated cost of Rs 282.15 lakhs by PWD (R&B) Kishtwar. The building comprises of 30 rooms, one big dinning hall, one kitchen block and bathrooms besides other amenities to facilitate the girl students.
DDC stated that, 100 bedded girls hostel building at Girls Higher Secondary School, Sarthal (under -RMSA) will give major fillip to female education as major section of girls in past have to leave their education midway due to non-availability of residential facilities.
He asked the CEO Kishtwar to ensure cleanliness and due maintenance of the girls hostel.
While Speaking on the occassion, DDC congratulated the people of Sarthal and kishtwar town for the construction of Tourist Reception Center Part-II (Under- PMRP) at Sarthal here and construction of Tourist Cafetaria at Kishtwar for which the executing agency is Kishtwar Development authority (KDA) and stated that the tourist projects will provide stay to the tourist/pilgrims and these assets will prove in boosting the tourism sector in the district.
He stated that govt is committed to take all necessary measures to develop the scenic spots with adequate infrastructure facilities for visiting tourists/pilgrims.
He further directed the executing and contractor agencies to ensure the time bound completion of these tourism projects without compromising the quality.
Meanwhile, DDC meets with the fire victims of Sarthal and assured that the every possible help shall be extended in their favour.
While interacting with PRI members, locals he asked them to join hands and extends their full support and co-operation to the govt. in the term of sustainable development at grass root levels.
