I don't trust US President Donald Trump, says Rehman Malik
Killing of Al-Baghdadi pinches Pak senator
11/2/2019 11:08:14 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 2: United States Army killing the chief of the dreaded terror out IS, Al-Baghdadi, in a raid seems to have rattled the people sitting in Pakistan.
Senator from Pakistan and the former minister, Rehman Malik, while reacting to the killing of Baghdadi sought proof from the United States saying, "I don't trust the US President Donald Trump."
Soon after Malik sought the proof, the United States released more videos about Baghdadi's killing and his body being buried into the sea, leaving the Pak senator red-faced.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "It's not for the first time that Pakistan has sought proof. After sending in terrorists in Mumbai on 26/11 they sought proof, for carrying out a terror strike at Pathankot and many other attacks. In fact when the Indian Army carried out surgical strikes that time also Pakistan demanded proof. So it's their old habit."
He said that another aspect which seems to be worrying Pakistan is that if it fails to stop exporting terror to India, then there is every possibility of Indian Army entering into their territory to look for the terror bosses and wipe them out. "Our leadership has already hinted that they are exploring the option," the analyst added.
A defence analyst said, "We cannot discount the fact that all the terror outfits operating in different parts of the world are connected to Pakistan as it's the breeding ground of terrorists. We should not forget that Pakistan had given shelter to the most wanted terrorist in the world Osama Bin laden and its home for the internationally designated terrorists like, Hafiz Saeed, Masood Azhar and others."
He said, "Pakistani senator saying that he doesn't trust US President Donald Trump should serve as an eye opener for the United States government too, which believes that Pakistan can be its partner in the war against terror."
An observer said that "the developments which have taken place in Pakistan after Imran Khan taking over the reins of the country have proved it to the world that he is a puppet and the Pakistan is run by the Army and the leaders of the terror outfits present in the country."
He said that like Rehman Malik there will be many people in Pakistani establishment who will be mourning the killing of Baghdadi as they know it very well that leaders of dreaded terror outfits getting killed in any corner of the world is a loss for them.
