DDC Ramban inspects examination centres

RAMBAN, Nov 2: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan today inspected class VII Examination Centres in block Sangaldan and took stock of arrangements made for free and fair conduct of Board Exams.
The DDC was accompanied by the SDM, Gool, Gayas-ud-Din, officers and field functionaries of various departments.
The DC visited the examination centres established at Government Higher Secondary School, Sangaldan and checked the security and other arrangements put in place.
He ordered to officers of administration and education department to ensure proper supervision in their respective jurisdiction to avoid any type of untoward incident.
Later, the DDC visited Tatapani area of Sangaldan block to review the status of availability of basic facilities and essential supplies at health resort. He also interacted with the visitors and locals to get first hand appraisal of their demands and problems. He directed the concerned officers to ensure implementation of directions issued to them in this regard.
Meanwhile, the DDC also convened a public grievances redressel camp under public outreach programme at Sangaldan.
During the camp a threadbare discussion was held on major issues of area including road projects, water, shortage of staff in schools, clearance of MGNREGA liabilities, construction of bridge over Chapran Nallah, sprinkling of water on under construction roads to prevent air pollution, establishment of hand pumps, water and power supply schemes.
The DDC directed the officers to redouble their efforts for completing developmental projects besides implementing all schemes in letter and spirit.
DDC redressed most of highlighted demands on the spot and directed the officers to resolve the problems of public pertaining to their respective departments at the earliest.
