Seminar against corruption held

JAMMU, Nov 2: Oriental insurance Co Ltd and Sri Ranbir Higher Secondary School organized a debate by the students on 02 Nov 2019 on "Integrity- A Way of Life " and the menace of corruption Sh Vijay Sharma, Principal and noted poetess & story writer Smt Vijaya Thakur the coordinator offered whole hearted support to Oriental Insurance and said debate will inculcate moral values amongst the budding generations & students and also will help to check the corruption which is prevailing in the various sections of the society.
The function was presided noted literary personality Pro f Veena Gupta' Ex HOD Dogri Jammu University , Sahitya Academy awardee and famous writer. Prof Veena said moral values at all levels must be maintained.Corruption has been one of the major obstacles to the economic, political & social progress of the country.
It was resolved that all the stakeholders such as Government Citizens and private sector need to work together to eradicate corruption. It is our responsibility to lead by example and need to put in place safeguards, integrity frameworks and code of Ethics to ensure that we are not part of corrupt practices will tackle it with utmost strictness.
We need to lead from the front on eradicating corruption and maintain the highest standards of of Integrity, transparency and good governance in all aspects of our operations. Students who participated spoke on the subject very enthusiastically and took pledge to promote Ethical business practices and foster a culture of honesty and integrity.
To protect the rights of the society at large.
Students who participated in the debate were given prizes adjudged by the panel of judges namely Dr Avneet' Smt Adarsh Bala and Smt Sunita.
First prize of debate given to Mr Mohit , second prize to Mr Sunil , Third prize to Mr Suhair and four consolation prizes were also distributed.
Chief Guest also asked the students every where to be part of movement against corruption and follow ' Integrity-A away of Life" Sudesh Raina Divisinal Incharge appreciated the views expressed Chief Guests and the participants. Vijaya Thakur handled the proceedings ably very effectively. K K Sidh, Madan Singh and Balbir Singh organising members of Oriental Insurance were also present. Bharti Raina thanked the school authorities for being with Oriental Insurance to organize and make this debate a success, media for the coverage of this event and a large number of students who attended the debate.
