Kathua Bar suspended work

KATHUA, Nov 2: Today work remain suspended for the first day in District & Session Court Kathua including all other subordinate courts of the District Kathua and complete shutdown observed there on the call of two days work suspend, given by District Bar Association Kathua in support of J&K High Court Bar Association Kathua on the main issue of transfer of powers of registration to revenue authorities. The members of the Bar Association led by President of District Bar Association Kathua Advocate Ajat Shatru Sharma also sit on a massive Dharna in the premises of District & Sessions Court Kathua and protest against the decision of Govt. to transfer of registration powers to revenue authorities after taking it from judicial officers. The members also raised sloganeering in favour of their demands. The members of the Bar also appealed to Lt. Governor G.C. Murmu and Home Minister Amit Shah to consider their demands and resolve the matter as early as possible otherwise J&K UT will badly affected apar from getting benefit. The senior Bar members who joined the Dharna includes Adv. Rajinder Sharma, Adv. Chunilal Rasotra, Adv Subash Sharma, Adv. Dilawar Singh, Adv. Harinder Singh, Adv. Ravi Gupta, Adv. T.N. Gupta, Adv. Rajesh Sharma, Adv. Ganga Ram Sharma, Adv. Anminder Salathia etc. The officer bearers & executive members of Bar who also sit on Dharna includes Adv. Rahul Sharma, Adv. Kamaljit Singh, Adv.
