DB directives in PIL regarding ban on PUBg

Jammu, Nov 2: In a Public Interest Litigation regarding ban on online access to PUBG game within the territorial jurisdiction of state of Jammu & Kashmir, a Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey and Justice Rashid Ali Dar disposed of PIL with a direction to the petitioners to approach the respondents for the grievance urged herein this petition alongwith all relevant documents.
Upon receipt of such a request from the petitioners, the respondents shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders in respect thereto expeditiously, of course, in accordance with the law and the rules governing the field.
DB further observed that at this stage, Shamsi, the Assistant Solicitor General of India (ASGI), submits that the subject matter of the PIL is directly related to the Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, however, the said authority has not been impleaded as a party respondent in the petition by the petitioners.
DB made it clear here that in case the petitioners feel the need to approach the Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, for the redressal of the grievances projected by them in this PIL, the said authority shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders in respect thereto in accordance with the law and the rules governing the field.
