Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 6: Accusing of betrayal, the terminated nursing staff of Government Medical College Kathua today staged protest demonstration in hospital premise against Principal of Hospital and demanded their extension.
The protesting nursing staff alleged that Principal of GMC Kathua has spoilt their life by terminating them instantly. They also accused the BJP leaders of their false promises of protecting their jobs.
“The BJP leaders had promised to us to protect their jobs but their claims proved false with our termination. The decision to terminate us was taken with malafide attentions by the hospital administration, which didn’t think about our future. Not even single leader has visited them to take note of our tale woes,” said Anuradha, member of terminated nursing staff.
She further said that when they questioned their termination, they were replied that they had all nursing staff recruited under SRO-24 have been terminated. While the nursing staff recruited under SRO-384 have been given extension over extension and there is no difference in the conditions given under this SRO.
She further alleged that nursing staff of GMC Kathua, Rajouri have been terminated while in GMC Doda are still doing their job and were not terminated. “BJP government has been playing with future of Jammu youth. Instead of increasing jobs opportunity, our jobs are being snatched in their rules,” she said.
“Hospital administration took 24 hours duty from us by saying that they are employees of this hospital but now they have thrown out by saying that they are not part of this intuition,” she said.
