Global Peace Organisation continues to serve humanity aimed COVID 19 pandemic

Jammu April 12: In its continuous support towards the government by providing helping hands to the poor and needy at the time when life of whole world comes to stand still, the various NGOs are playing its part during the testing time by distributing food kits to the needy people and one such Global Peace Organisation, an NGO is also leading at frontline.
'Coming together is a beginning, staying together is a progress, working together is a success but serving together is a worship' chairman of Global PEACE Organisation Sheikh Altaf Hussain, Advocate has to say after distributing food kits to about 250 families of homeless, slum dwellers and stranded labourers in Jammu.
As per the details available with Early Times, in a day long process the volunteers of the NGO namely Ali Haider Shah National Organising Secretary, Dr Khushboo Khan Director Women Empowerment, Sheikh Ayaz Hussain Advocate, Gopal Thakur Executive Officer, Suhail Bharti District President Jammu, Sumiya Kousar, I/c Sports Committee,
Danish Khan, Sujat Ahmed Qazi and Manzoor Ahmed visited door to door to every juggy for distribution of ration kits containing rice, flour, pulses, oil, turmeric, chilli powder, salt etc to the homeless, slum dwellers and stranded labourers from Bihar, Orissa, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Chatisgarh, Utrakhand and Uttar Pradesh at Channi, Chowadi, Narwal, Sunjwan, Bathindi and Nehru market. In the evening the ration was distributed to the local labourers from Mahore and Ramban areas stranded in Jammu due to lockdown. The volunteers also apprised the beneficiaries and their kids to maintain social distancing, hygiene and wear masks to fight COVID-19 a global pandemic. The Chairman of the organisation expressed his gratitude to the labourers and other destitute people for honouring the call of lockdown announced by Hon'ble Prime Minister of India. He expressed his sincere thanks to those who extended a helping hand to the organisation by making donations to feed the poor during the lockdown. He said 'service to humanity is service to God' and urged everyone to donate generously for the starving people in their surroundings.
