Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 12: Despite repeated directions of the officers not to issue press releases for mainstream media and posting on the social media, the publicity hungry BJP leaders continued to issue official handout about the “social work” they are doing for the people.
As people in the distress and abject poverty has expressed their anger over cheap publicity stunts being adopted by the social activists, Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of various districts have warned against taking selfies and issuing press notes.
DCs have said that nobody would be allowed to take selfies and photographs or carry out videography while distributing food packets or dry ration to the needy here. DCs have warned that if such incidents were reported, then FIRs would be registered against the guilty under IPC Section 188.
Instead of adopting humanitarian approach, the shamelessly BJP leaders on Sunday issued number of press notes in which they brazenly posted their pictures of distributing masks and food to the needy people.
Not only this many BJP leaders posted various posts on social media shamelessly depicting distribution of food items and other materials to the needy and distress people.
