3600 reusable cloth face masks distributed in Block Nagseni

Jammu, April 12: As a part of massive exercise started by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj on the bases of the initiative taken by the Secretary RDD&PR Sheetal Nanda, around 3600 face masks were distributed in various panchayats of Block Nagseni in Kishtwar District.
As per the details available with Early Times, the masks so distributed were prepared with the help of local tailors at various places in Kishtwar. The distribution was done ward wise and during the distribution it was ensured that social distancing be maintained. The masks were given away by BDC Chairman, Nagseni, Mohd. Ashraf in the presence of BDO Nagseni, Abhay Sharma (KAS), Sarpanch from Galhar, Darshan Sharma and Sarpanch Kawar, Zaina Begum, the panchayat secretaries, Sameer Sharma, Taseen Ahmed Waza, Aashish Sharma, GRSs- Vijay Kumar, Umar Suffian, Sameer Dev, Mushtaq Ahmed, Ward Members, police, and other prominent citizens. To ensure universal coverage, around 3600 masks were distributed in 6 panchayats in the first go and rest are to be covered subsequently. It is also pertinent to mention here that the job card holders were also made aware about the 98% wage payment of 2019-20 made recently along with the PMAY payments, so that they visit their nearest bank branch and withdraw money from their accounts during the tough times of pandemic COVID19. BDO Nagseni also enquired about the health and wellbeing of the residents and their daily needs, if any.
