Displaced KPs demand release of cash assistance
4/12/2020 9:48:36 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 12: Intriguing that displaced Kashmiri Pandits are being given sweet lollypops on the electronic and print media by the relief and rehabilitation department migrants even in this catastrophic situation arising out of pandemic and the consequent lock down about the release of cash assistance in their favour for the month of march 2020. This was stated in a handout from Vision Kashmir organization of over aged relief holders of the ignored and deprived community.
How can a migrant sustain when the last assistance was released in the second week of February since then much water has flown down the banks of migrant miseries which are now getting complicated and hopeless day after day, how could a migrant feed his children and other necessities like disease, gas cylinder, electricity bill, water bill and other things in this meager amount which has not been credited to his account till date almost after two months is this possible under any circumstances practically. When we knock the doors of the authorities either verbally or through their online grievance cell we are promised moon but only sweet tongue no proper action on ground from the last five days they are fooling public that cash assistance stands released but neither has that reached the account of relief holder nor is any clarity anywhere either they have not released the D B T server has done the trick shameful and disgusting. Now it is hereby warned that if cash assistance is not being released within 24 hours our patience is running out we have no other option except to defy the lock down.
