Govt should give relief to students in lock down by starting 4G service: Satish Sharma
4/12/2020 9:50:02 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, April 12: Satish Sharma, former chairman of the Jammu Municipal Corporation and an PCC Executive member, while talking to the reporters at his residence on Sunday said that the effect of the lock-down going on across the country due to the corona virus is now taking toll on everyone.
At the same time, its effect is on the education of school children and students of universities. Therefore, the government should immediately provide 4G speed internet service in Jammu and Kashmir UT without delay. Because at this time the speed of 2G is not sufficient for students for online education therefore, the government should activate 4G service in J&K without delay.
He said that after the removal of Section 370, internet was stopped due to security protocols in Jammu and Kashmir, which we also supported. But now more than 8 months have passed since the removal of Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, and the government should not have any problem in running 4G even if security reasons are to be considered because the environment of the state is now fine.
Satish said that due to lack of 4G speed, people of Jammu and Kashmir have many important information about Corona which they are not able to avail. Therefore, due to the outbreak of Corona virus and lock down and for its prevention, 4G should be started keeping in mind the online studies of the students, if it does not happen then it's like playing with the future of the children and students of the university.
