EARLY TIMES REPORT

POONCH, Apr 18: A Jammu and Kashmir policeman in Balakote area of tehsil Mendhar of Poonch district has set a huge precedence for others by preferring to restrict himself to get quarantined over his daughter’s marriage.
According to reports, the Hawaldar ranked person (name withheld) from Nakamanjhari area of the frontier district was put to quarantine alongside his brother after their arrival from Srinagar, three days back.
“As a precautionary measure both of them were put on quarantine for next two weeks,” an official said.
Meanwhile, the quarantined policeman while talking to Early Times said, “Though it was difficult for me to manage my emotions, I know it has to be like that only. Someone may call it a sacrifice but it is a must for the safety of all loved ones and society as a whole.”
Urging all people to restrain movement amid the onslaught of Coronavirus pandemic, the policeman remarked that while the virus is taking a serious toll irrespective of any age, gender and religion, “We should co-operate with the authorities to contain its further spread,” he said.
