Civil society members distribute masks to GMCH

JAMMU, Apr 19: JK Civil Society members distributed masks to Govt Medical College and associated hospitals for COVID frontline warriors here today
On the request of Medical Superintendent Dr Dara Singh J&K Civil society members arranged a consignment of N95 masks for Government Associated Hospitals, attached with Government Medical College in Jammu which were running out of the masks", Dr Dara Singh, Medical Superintendent, rang up J&K State Civil society members.
Dr Singh wanted the masks urgently as the official supply of masks etc dispatched by GOI, on the personal intervention of Dr Jitendra Singh, was expected to reach Jammu by Monday.
Doctors, nurses and other hospital staff rely on masks, gloves and other protective equipment to keep themselves safe as they serve on the front lines of infectious-disease care.
Responding to the request, Dr Yudvir Gupta, Convener, Er Kiran Wattal, spokesperson and Prem Sharma, Secrectry of J&K Civil-society arranged requested quality of N95 masks as a short term measure till the official supplies reach them. Dr Yudvir, speaking to this reporter requested philanthropists of Jammu and and other social, political, and non political organizations to join efforts of the government and donate funds and contribute in supporting the health care workers who are doing a great service to humanity in Jammu under difficult times. He also hailed Atal Dulloo, IAS, Financial Commissioner, H & ME Department, and his team including Principal, GMC, Director Health services, Medical superintendents of government hospitals doctors, nurses and all allied health workers working 24x7 for controlling Covid19 infection in Jammu.
