MOA demands compensation to minibus operators

Jammu, Apr 19: Mini Bus Owners Association demanded compensation due to loss suffered by the minibus owners transporters of J&K State due to lockdown in wake of COVID-19 pandemic for withholding passenger services in J&K State.
As per press release, the members of association appealed to LG to provide relief to the people associated with commercial passengers vehicles. The labour class passenger services and all other services have stopped to earn for livelihood and this period is quite carmine for the public.
The Govt. of India to cope with the present situation have issued some relaxations in order to save the lives of the India people by providing financial and physical commodities in the shape of money, Atta , Wheat, Rice , Dal etc to combat the starvation.
The labour class pensioners and other needy classes have been provided adequate financial and other relief by the Central/State Govt. But our classes category of passenger transporters owners of Mini Busses (Matador) have not so for been accommodated by the Govt. It is pertinent to mention here that our Mini Bus (Matador) Owner thought transporter in nomenclature , but are low earners.
The Monthly income of a Mini Bus owner is not more than Rs. 15300é- P.M. The Rationalization of Monthly income of a Mini Bus owner is given hereunder for kind perusal :- I) Monthly Income is Rs. 15300/- P.M. @ Rs. 800/- Per Day x 365 Days + 2,92,000/- II) Expenditure side 1. Insurance = Rs. 38000/- 2. Permit fee = Rs. 800/- 3. Token Fee = Rs. 3600/- 4. Passing Fee = Rs. 2000/- 5. Annual Fitness =Rs. 40000/- 6. Repairs yearly = Rs. 24000/- TOTAL Rs.108000/- Balance (I&II) Rs. 184000/- Monthly income 184000÷12 Rs.12300/- P.M.
