EJAC urges govt to defer implementation of JKPaySys
4/19/2020 11:14:07 PM
Early times Report

Srinagar, Apr 19: EJAC has expressed deep concern over the recent order no. 139-F of 2020 issued by Finance Department regarding the implementation of JKPaySys in all the treasuries of J&K w.e.f. 15-04-2020. In a statement, Senior Trade Union Leader, President Jammu Kashmir Employees Joint Action Committee, Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam said that it is almost impossible to implement this order productively as J&K is still reeling under 2G internet speed and to upload the documents of employees in this situation will take ages. “Moreover, due to the ongoing pandemic, there is a shortage of employees in the departments which will further interrupt the successful implementation of this order” he said. He urges the government to defer this order for now, so that the employees won’t face any issues in this regard. He also urged the authorities to release the pending wages of all the workers who are risking their lives in these critical times. Furthermore Fayaz Ahamad Shabnam also highlighted the importance of 4G internet for students, employees and also for common public in these perilous times and urged the government to restore the 4G internet so as to ensure the smooth functioning of online classes to students and other essential services to public.
Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam also reiterated his appeal to the authorities to rescue the stranded Kashmiris and bring them back home or provide them adequate facilities so that there will be a bit of relief in their sufferings.
