Rotary Club Jammu Tawi Donated Ration worth Rs 4 lacs to needy

Jammu, Apr 30: As the COVID-19 crisis continues to loom over Entire world, the Government of India has taken a strict combat measure by directing a compulsory lockdown of the entire nation. At this great hour of need, Rotarians of RC Jammu Tawi, in close coordination with State Governments & District Administration, has stepped in to provide relief by providing food to thousands of people across the J&K State.
By adhering to all safety and hygiene measures, Rotarians of RC Jammu Tawi is providing food to Doctors, the real corona warriors in hospitals along with relief service to low-income segment of the society comprising of daily wage workers, migrant labourers, construction site workers, and needy people at various old age homes, night shelters and poor Bastis, by providing meal as well as Ration kits, comprising of flour, Rice, Biscuits, Water Bottle , Nutri packed, Soap, Daal and Salt .Today Rotarians of RC Jammu Tawi and RC Jammu elite handed over 200 ration Kit’s and 500 Bottles of water to BJP president of UT of Jammu Kashmir, Sh Ravindar Raina, MLC Vikram Randhawa, Vice president Aseem Gupta, and General secretary Ashok Koul in BJP Head office. On the occasion DGND Dr Dushyant handed over Rotary flag to BJP president and explained him about the work done by various Rotary club’s in this crisis. President of the Rotary club Raman Sherpuri, Sergent in Arm Ramnik singh, Rotarian Dr. Parveen singh, Er Anil Gupta, President Rotary Elite Paramjit Kour, secretary Elite club Archana Sharma and Additional secretary Rotary Elite Manisha kohli, were also present on the occasion.BJP President said the COVID warriors” of India have shown exemplary dedication in the fight against coronavirus and expressed confidence that the country will follow the path of discipline shown by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and soon the pandemic will be deflated .He thanked Rotary Club Jammu Tawi for their efforts and contribution in providing food to the needy.
