3 positive cases in Baramulla today
17 discharged in Uri and Bandipora, two recovered in Kupwara

BARAMULLA, May 2: Three new positive cases have been reported in Baramulla and two have recovered in Kupwara district, while as almost 17 people were discharged, in north Kashmir.
Details said three new positive cases have been reported in Baramulla district, while as there is no such case from Bandipora and Kupwara districts of north Kashmir today.
According media bulletin that, Baramulla reported 3 new cases today taking total number of positive cases to 88 with 59 Active Positive, 26 recovered, 03 died.
While as Bandipora has 128 positive cases with 91 Active Positive, 36 recovered (including 01 recovered today), 01 died, and Kupwara has 55 positive cases with 34 Active Positive, 21 recovered (including 02 recoveries today).
Meanwhile, sources said twelve more person including 9 Tabligi Jamat, Two drivers and one helper were discharged from quarantine centre TRC Salamabad Uri after their tests came negative.
In-charge quarantine center TRC Salamabad Uri Tariq Hashim oversaw their discharge and transportation to their respective homes.
The group like all others before them was under through medical supervision period and was discharged after clearance from doctors and health authorities with the strict directions to remain in home quarantine.
Sources said that, this is the last group of Sub Division Uri that was in quarantine Center and no one from Uri is in Government quarantine center.
Only 16 person of outside state are still in quarantine Center TRC Salamabad whose tests came negative but due to lockdown they can't move to their native places, sources told ET.
Pertinently on May 1, one truck helper was sent to quarantine in TRC Salamabad Uri after he had returned from out of state. While as five Covid-19 patients, who recovered from the disease earlier, were released from administrative quarantine at One-Stop Centre Bandipora.
Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza provided them certificates and were sent home after completing 14 day quarantine.
All the five persons were earlier tested positive for Corona virus and recovered later in Srinagar Hospital.
The DC said that after their discharge from the hospitals in Srinagar, they were put under administrative quarantine in Bandipora as a precautionary measure and were released after completing the quarantine period.
While interacting with the recovered patients, Mirza appreciated the patience shown by them during their fight with the Covid-19.
He urged them to spend the coming 14 days in home quarantine and also play their role in informing the public about precautions to be taken to prevent the spread of the disease.
So far more than 1000 persons have been released from administrative quarantine in the district and currently 386 persons are under administrative quarantine in 33 different quarantine centers established in the district while 3955 persons are also under home quarantine.
He said the persons have been released from quarantine after following due procedure and nod from the doctors.
