School Edu Deptt stakes claim over administrative posts in JKBOSE Alleges Govt of depriving them of their legitimate right since 1975 5/2/2020 11:11:58 PM EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 2: The School Education Department has now come openly to stake its claim over all administrative positions in Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE), which has always been grabbed by High Education Department and accused Government of depriving them of their legitimate right since 1975. Sources in the department told Early Times that the voices against the discrimination has once again started gaining momentum with the retirement of the incumbent Chairperson JKBOSE, which was scheduled on April 30 but due to prevailing circumstances of COVID-19, Government gave extension of two months in her favour. “There has been constant demand of appointing teacher/officer from School Education Department on this coveted post but on the contrary the practice of appointing Chairman from Higher Education Department remained intact, by trampling the right of School Education Department, which brewed the resentment among them,” they alleged. They further said that Plus Two component of School Education Department got delinked from Higher Education Department in the year 1975 and since then it has been 45 years of period, the position of Chairman JKBOSE is solely held by Higher Education Department. “Keeping School Education Department away from the positions of Secretary, Joint Secretaries, Academic Officers and Chairman is the sheer discrimination with them despite the fact that the officers and Academicians of School Education Department are qualified enough to manage the affairs of JKBOSE,” they informed. They said that JKBOSE is an exclusive arena of School Education Department, which can be seen from that fact that all jobs pertaining to JKBOSE including Curriculum Development, Textbook Development, Examination and Evaluation is done efficiently by the academicians from School Education Department.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
