| 17 year old girl among two killed due to lightning in Chatroo | | |  Early Times Report
Kishtwar, May 2: In a tragic incident, a 17 year old girl among two died in Batwari village of Chatroo Sub Division in Kishtwar after lightning struck in the village today evening.
As per the details available with Early Times, the deceased include a women and teenage girl identified by police sources as Gulshana Banoo (17) D/o Bashir Ahmed and Hajra Begum (32) wife of Jameel Ahmed who died on spot after being struck by lightning in village.
Officials told that amid heavy rainfall, lightning struck near the house of the deceased, resulting in their onspot death.
After hearing about the incident, the police party from Police Station Chatroo led by SHO Mohammad Ashraf (Dy.SP) immediately rush to the spot and shifted the dead bodies to nearby hospital.
Senior officials from Sub Division Chatroo also rush to the spot. The dead bodies of both the deceased were handed over to their family members for burial after completion of all legal formalities. |
