Jammu Police “We Care for You” Campaign Continues”

Jammu, May 6: The "WE CARE FOR YOU" Campaign of Jammu Police launched by SSP Jammu,Shridhar Patil is going on in full swing in Police Subdivision Akhnoor.
The main aim of this campaign is to spread awareness and sensitize people about COVID-19 pandemic as well as help needy and poor people residing in Police Subdivision Akhnoor.
Today SPDO Akhnoor at 0930 hrs received a call from some of poor family members (snake charmers) from Punjab and putting up in Devipur area of Akhnoor town appealed for immediate help as they are running out of ration.
Matter was taken up with ACR Jammu who is nodal officer and approval taken.
Ater mobilizing all resources, ration was arranged for 10 families consisting of 60 souls for a week comprising of 5kg Rice, 5 kg Atta, 1kg Dal, 1 kg Potato, 1 kg Sugar, 1 kg onion, Mirchi, Haldi, tea leaves, 1 ltr mustard oil, milk paket etc. per family.
The said ration got distributed by SDPO Akhnoor, Ajay Sharma, SHO Akhnoor Insp Pardeep Sharma, under the Supervision of SP Rural Jammu Sh.Suram Singh, strictly maintaining social distance.
Also the concerned souls were briefed about maintaining their personal hygiene, social distance and staying inside at their place of stay during this ongoing lockdown.
Thus, the step of Jammu Police is helping poor and needy people, besides spreading awareness among the masses. Such efforts shall continue in future.
