JKBOSE announces mass promotion of Class 11th students in Ladakh

Jammu, May 6: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education announced that it would be promoting all the students of class 11 to class 12 without conducting exams in the Union Territory of Ladakh. The notice came in wake of the extension of lockdown as the pandemic spread is not yet controlled in the area. The notice has been issued for Higher Secondary Part 1 students or 11th standard students for annual-biannual private, HSP-1 2019-20.
The candidates can view the notice on the official website of JKBOSE, jkbose.ac.in. In the notice, it has been mentioned that JKBOSE has taken such a step as it believes that in the current situation academic loss of the students is something the Board does not desire at all. Read full notice here
“In view of the prevailing situation, it is apparent that the conduct of the mid examination is impossible in the near future and the delay in the conduct of said examination may adversely affect the academic career of candidates who were supposed to participate in the said examination”, reads the notice.
The Board also believes that the new session must begin as soon as possible so that the students can be engaged in academic activities.
The notice further reads, “Now thereof, in order to save the academic future it is hereby notified that all the candidates who were to appear in HSP-1 (Class 11) annual/private/biannual 2019-2020 private examination are promoter to HSP-2 (class 12th) as one-time exception provided that all such candidates have submitted the permission cum admission forms for the said examination and have been found eligible to appear in the said examination.”
