Early Times Report

Srinagar, May 6: A red alert has been sounded in entire Kashmir region in the wake of intelligence inputs that a group of Pakistani terrorists are out on suicide mission in the valley.
Sources said the intelligence agencies have inputs that over a dozen highly trained Pakistani terrorists with specialized “Daur-e-Khaas training” have infiltrated into Kashmir from Leepa Valley in north Kashmir during the ongoing pandemic when the rest of the world is fighting the deadly ailment.
Sources said the intelligence inputs have been shared with the Army, police and the paramilitary forces deployed in the area and that a high level meeting has been chaired in this regard.
Sources said the Inspector General of Police Kashmir is in constant contact with the Chinar Corps of the Indian Army and also the Central Reserve Police Force.
Sources said the terror groups, as per the intelligence agencies, have been assigned the task of carrying out multiple attacks in various areas of Kashmir especially government installations in the summer capital of Srinagar.
Sources said a high alert has been sounded across the city here in particular whereas surveillance has been heightened in the civil lines as well.
Sources said the terrorists are from the same so called TRF, a shadow of Lashkar and Jaish outfits, responsible for multiple attacks in Handwara in the recent past, that left atleast eight security force personnel including two top ranking Army officials dead.
Sources said the other members of the terror group may have sneaked into other areas of Kashmir on a suicide mission. When contacted a senior official on the condition of anonymity said the security forces are fully prepared to thwart any such attempt.
“We are always on the alert and their(terrorist) nefarious designs won’t be allowed to be met,” the official said.
He appealed the people of Kashmir to cooperate with the security forces in fight against terrorism.
