| Masks distribution in full swing at Udhampur | | |  Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, May 18: To ensure universal mask usage by the general public, the district administration Udhampur has distributed more than 3 lakh triple layer masks among the public in the district and the process is going to cover the whole district. The prime objective of the district administration is to provide face masks to every citizen of the district for containment of COVID-19 pandemic.
The district administration has roped in local entrepreneurs, tailors, Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and NGOs for the mass production of masks in the district. The District Development Commissioner has appealed to voluntarily contributing in providing masks to the people as well as ensure their distribution. A number of industrialists and localities are supporting this initiative whole heartedly.
Assistant Commissioner Development, Mushtaq Choudhary has been designated as Nodal Officer for the distribution of Masks.
The Nodal officers along with involvement of officials of Rural Development Department, PRIs and local volunteers are doing door to door awareness among the public regarding the preventive measures to be taken to contain the spread of Covid-19. Free masks is also being provided to the public
