Kishtwar, May 18: After four months since the outbreak of deadly COVID 19, Kishtwar and Doda Districts today reported first positive cases with travel history of Ludhiana and Delhi respectively.
As per the details available with Early Times, the Kishtwar positive case arrived from Ludhiana via rail at Jammu where the authorities collected his sample at railway station Jammu and later dispatched him and others to home.
The official sources told the Early Times that the positive youth is around 20 year old and arrived at Kishtwar along with 17 others via bus and were first kept at an isolation center at JNV Shastri Memorial School from where they were shifted to CVPPP house Shalimar.
At Kishtwar first four persons were kept in a single isolation room while at CVPPP House two persons were kept in one room.
The officials said that after receiving the report, the three persons who shared the room with him were immediately isolated at shifted to isolation center while 13 others including seven of a family members with two elderly persons who arrived at Kishtwar along with the positive case were kept under strict surveillance. Among these 10 are the students.
“One positive case reported today. No need to panic, person was in administrative quarantine and all contacts have been traced. Stay home stay safe” twitted DC Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara.
All other contacts including those on duty has been advised to take precautionary measures.
Similar the 19 year old girl was also reported positive and was kept under hospital quarantine immediately beside another girl who share the room with her was also shifted to hospital for watch. The girl according to the officials had a travel history from Delhi.
