20 kanals of forest land retrieved from encroachment in Nagsini Kishtwar

Kishtwar, May 18: In its continuous drive against the encroachment on forest land, after retrieving 10 kanals of forest land in Compartment No. 61 of Marwah Forest Division.
A fresh encroachment bid was foiled by the officials of Nagseni Range & headed by RO Nagseni in Compartment No. 20C/N under the overall supervision of DFO Kishtwar Sagar Singh recovered 20 kanals of forest land from encroachment.
It is pertinent to mention here that, acting swiftly against the encroacher the brushwood used to fence the area was removed and burnt by the officials.
The offender as per the forest officials had tried to break the land in strips and had raised stone structures for its levelling which were also demolished by the team.
Speaking to Early Times, DFO Kishtwar Sagar Singh inform that an area of 20 kanals was evicted from the clutches of the land grabber who had obtained a nakal of the area from Patwari halka Dool and under its pretext had encroached upon the forest land.
He said that the drive to remove illegal encroachment on forest land will remain continue in coming days and warn the people against any encroachment and infringement on forest land.
