Ramban, May, 17: Block Development Chairman (BDC), Ramban, Amjid Ali distributed Ration, Mask, sanitizers and other possible helps to people of block Ramban.
During the two month long exercise BDC Chairman disbursed 700 ration kits among the needy families of 20 panchyats in block Ramban, each kit contained 30 KG of ration including Atta, Rice, Oil, Potato, Onion, Spices.
Maintaining the social distancing, he also distributed the two thousand each masks and sanitizers among them. He also impressed upon them to follow the directions and guidelines issued by the Health department as well as district administration to prevent spread of COVID-19. Talking to the media persons BDC, Chairman said that it is our first duty to cooperate with government as well as district administration to fight with deadly virus COVID-19. He also appreciated the government for providing MG-NREGA payments and other financial assistance under PM-KISAN, construction worker and different pension schemes to eligible people.
The said amount will help the poor families in purchasing essential food commodities and medicines during the lock down period. Under this act PM Modi has provided a major relief to labour class facing hardships due to lock down, he added. |
