Omar Abdullah spills beans on Sagar, Akhter
Not MLA hostel, duo detained at posh bungalow

Early Times Report

Jammu, June 10: While the general public was of the impression that two senior politicians from National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party, Ali Mohammad Sagar and Naeem Akhter respectively were detained at the MLA Hostel in Srinagar, along with other political detainees, the NC President Omar Abdullah has dropped a bombshell.
The former Chief Minister and NC President, Omar said that Sagar and Akhter have been detained at a posh bungalow at Gupkar.
Omar spilled the beans in his tweet on the recent release of politicians including Shah Faesal, Sartaj Madani and Peer Mansoor.
“Good to hear @shahfaesal, Peer Mansoor & Sartaj Madani have been released from their unjust PSA detention. Disappointed that @MehboobaMufti, Sagar Sb & Hilal Lone continue to be detained. It’s high time they are set free as well,” Omar said in the tweeted, which sounded like shocking revelations for the people who were unaware of the fact.
“Also Nayeem Akhtar who remains under PSA along with Sagar Sb in a government bungalow on Gupkar road.
He too should be released without any further delay. There is no justification for their continued detention,” Omar added in the same tweet.
Till now, the general public was of the opinion that the duo was detained that MLA Hostel on the MA Road. The two leaders along with other politicians were detained in the wake of abrogation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir on August 5.
Initially most of them were detained at the Centaur Hotel on the banks of Dal Lake and in the wake of winter last year they were subsequently shifted to MLA Hostel.
Sources said Sagar and Naeem were shifted from the MLA Hostel after the release of most of those under detention at the facility.
Sources said both the leaders have been given posh accommodation on the Gupkar Road, where orderlies have been kept on their disposal.
Despite repeated attempts, Omar Abdullah and other concerned couldn’t be contacted for comments.
