| Eight years on Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidhalaya building not complete | | |  Ashwani Sharma

Udhampur, July 27: For the last eight years the building of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidhalaya has not been completed in Tehsil Mongri’s Basnot area.
A local of the area Pritam Singh informed that very slow pace of work on the building will be a problem for the poor students after the authorities order reopening of educational institutions in J&K.
He also said that classes of the concerned students were conducted in the Middle School Basnot where they had problems in rainy days. Singh also said that the school was meant for poor girls wherein food and accommodation would be provided to them.
“Many times we visited officers of the concerned department but none took the issue serious resulting which the school is lying incomplete even after eight years,” he said. When contacted the CEO Udhampur informed that there was some issue with R&B department and concern contractor which has been sorted out now and the school building will now be completed soon.
