Ex-Minister Ganga among 5 booked in land dispute case

Jammu, July 27: Vijaypur Police on Monday booked ex-minister Chander Parkash Ganga and his brothers in a land dispute case. According to sources, a case under FIR no. 130/2020 under sections 447, 427, 378, 506, 34 IPC has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur against the ex-minister and four other persons, including his brothers. “A written complaint was received from Satish Sharma that Vidhya Sharma son of Swatanter Sharma, Rajesh Sharma son of Suraj Parkash, Jai Kumar Sharma son of Sri Niwas, Suraj Parkash Sharma son Sri Niwas Sharma, Chander Parkash Ganga, son of Sri Niwas Sharma and an unknown, driver of JCB Machine forcefully trespassed in his land”, sources said, adding that the accused person wants to forcibly grab the said land.
“I got the land demarcated from the revenue staff on 23/07/2020 where both the accused Jai Kumar Sharma and Surja Kumar Sharma were present and threatened the Satish of dire consequences and also gave threat of life to the applicant in case he doesn’t leave the land. On 23/07/2020, at about 2:51 p.m the Chander Parkash Ganga made a telephonic call to the owner of land Satish and told the applicant to leave the said land and further threatened that the applicant is coming in the way of a sole power and in case the applicant doesn’t leave the said land, he shall be killed”, alleged Satish Sharma who filled a complaint against the ex-minister and others.
“On 27/07/2020, at about 7:30 a.m. Vidhya Sharma and Rajesh Sharma reached on spot in their vehicle Fortuner (JK21E-8700) and also brought JCB machine with them and forcibly trespassed into the said land and damaged and removed the Iron poles and barbed wire installed by the applicant to cover the said land and further took away the about 12 iron Poles and about two bundles of barbed wire along with them”, Satish claimed in his application submitted to Vijaypur Police Station.
