Slew of activities held across 78 Panchayats of Doda district

DODA, Oct 6: The 5th day of the B2V3 programme witnessed a series of activities across 78 Panchayats of 17 blocks of the district Doda with active participation of PRIs and the general public.
Marathon Gram Sabhas, distribution of Sports kits, KCC pass books, Domicile certificates, Pension sanction letters, awareness program on Covid-19 and other individual benefit schemes, besides inauguration of New works/PMAY houses mark the day 5.
The Visiting Officers profiled issues, grievances and demands of the people besides asked the public to identify their priority works that can be forwarded for next year district plan under various central / UT sponsored schemes. As per the scheduled activities the Gram sabhas were conducted in the Panchayats, in which the BDC Chairpersons along with PRI members and locals actively participated and highlighted their issues. Besides MGNREGA and 15th FC plan was discussed and finalised for the next financial year and Awaas plus list was also read out at the Gram Sabhas. Besides, several top Officers from outside the district also participated in the program at the assigned Panchayats, including MD JKRTC, Angrez Singh Rana; Dy DEO Reasi; Zakir Hussain Wani; Deputy Secretary Home department, Umesh Sharma; CE I&FC Jammu, Himesh Manchanda; Additional Secretary Disaster, Relief and Rehabilitation, Sunil Kumar and I/C Chief Engineer, J&K Project Organisation Mughal Road, Shabir Ahmed Choudhary.
