Samba DDC reviews progress achieved during 1st leg of B2V3

SAMBA, Oct 6: District Development Commissioner, Samba, Rohit Khajuria today convened a meeting of district officers to review the progress achieved during the first leg of “Back to Village-3” and also discussed the steps to be taken for the second segment of the program.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Suram Chand Sharma; Assistant Commissioner Development, Sidharath Dhiman; Chief planning officer, Sukhleen Kour; District Panchayat officer, Piyush Dhotra; XENs of the PWD, PDD, PHE and other district officers.
During the meeting it was informed that phase-1 of the back to village programme culminated on 04 October and all the visiting officers has complied the assessment booklet of assigned Panchayats of block Purmandal, Vijypur and Bari Brahmana.
The phase second of back to village programme commenced from today will cover 03 blocks of Samba, Nud and Ramgarh till 8 October.
The District Development Commissioner directed the district officers to put up their departmental stall in each panchayat so that maximum awareness can be generated regarding Government schemes among general public.
Further, directions were issued to district heads of social welfare, horticulture, forest, agriculture and other departments to install products and prosthetic aids for distribution among the beneficiaries during the ongoing back to village programme.
Later DDC directed district officer to submit regular action taken report with regard to the issues raised by the local public.
DDC also informed that the phase-3 of back to village programme has been proponed from 07th of October to 09 of October and all the departments should accordingly place their field staff in the programme.
