Ayushman Bharat scheme a revolutionary step towards new India : Kavinder
10/6/2020 11:05:48 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Oct 6: Former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta said that Ayushman Bharat is one of the revolutionary steps of New India and not just because it is playing an important role in saving the life of an ordinary person, but it is also a symbol of the dedication and strength of 130 crore people of the country.
While inaugurating the registration camp for Ayushman Bharat scheme here today, the former Deputy Chief Minister said that the Ayushman Bharat scheme ensures better treatment to patients in any part of the country.
The former Deputy Chief Minister said that PMJAY's capability building approach would go a long way in making Prime Minister Narendra Modi''s dream of Atmanirbhar Bharat a reality. "Today, we have approved an important public health benefit proposal which is probably the first of its kind in the entire country. The aforesaid scheme will provide universal health coverage to nearly 70 lakh residents of the Union Territory who are not covered under the Ayushman Bharat scheme," Gupta said.
“India’s poor couldn’t avail the best health infrastructure and remained devoid of quality healthcare services. But with Ayushman Bharat, people are now able to avail best treatment even in their non-residing states,” the former Deputy Chief Minister said, adding that an eligible patient from any state implementing PMJAY can avail of cashless treatment anywhere in India, in any empanelled hospital.
Kavinder assured the people of Gandhi Nagar constituency that such camps will be organized in near future so that no one left behind to reap the benefit of central sponsored schemes.
The camp was organized by Ajay Gupta, Councilor Ward 52 in which Vinay Gupta, District President, Shailja Gupta BJP Mahila Morcha Secretary were also present.
