Mayor inaugurates registration camp for Ayushman Bharat

Jammu, Oct 6: Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation alongwith Dr. Akshay Sharma councillor of ward no 8 inaugurated a camp organized for registration of Ayushman Bharat scheme here.
The Camp was organized on the demands of people so that they could get themselves registered under the scheme. During the camp, large number of families from Dogra Hall, Old Rehari & other adjoining areas of the ward were registered under Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana (PMABY), a central Government sponsored Health free Health care scheme.
Mayor said that besides registering the new beneficiaries in the Yojana, the people who were already registered under the scheme will be provided with their Golden cards and documents pertaining to new registration are also being collected by the common service centres (CSE) so that whenever the new process starts in J&K for health insurance every resident will be covered under the same and will avail the full benefits.
He appeal to the general public to avail the benefits initiated by the Govt of India for the betterment of the common people.
Later, Mayor alongwith Madam Sunita Koul Councillor of ward no.4 also conducted tour of the ward, met with the locals & listened to their issues pertaining to JMC and other allied departments in terms of lifting of stray dogs/animals, PHE water pipes leakages, shortage of drinking water, construction /renovation of left over lanes & drains in the congested areas of old city.
In order to fulfill their demands, Mayor alongwith concerned councillor kick started upgradation of lanes/drains in the Peer Baba shrine lane opposite Rawalpindi sweet shop Jain bazar Jammu.
