Jammu, Nov 15: Vridhi Royals Cricket Club registered the great win against their opponents in the league matches and entered in semis in the going 8th Eid Diwali Milan Cricket Championship which is being organized by Senior Cricketers of J&K /Members of ICA in association with KC Sports Club and supported by Horizon Club, Game Changer Sports Club, Samar Sports Club, Vridhi Royals and JK Service Station Rajouri at KC Sports Club Cricket Ground Jammu.
The slogan of the 8th Eid Diwali Milan Cricket Championship is “ let’s celebrate all festivals together and Let’s strive for communal harmony and oneness”. The executive members of the organizing committee of the event includes Rajesh Gill, Shahid Parvez, Ashvinder Koul, Arjun Choudhary, Ashish Singh, Avinash Kumar, Sudhir Singh, Rakesh Koul, Saleem Ur Rehman, Madan Mohan and Sanjeev Sharma.
Today in the first match Vridhi Royals Cricket Club defeated Vishal Cricket by 8 wickets. Batting first Vishal Cricket Club scored 118 runs for the loss of all wickets in 18 overs match with Rakesh Koul 60 runs and Rohan Gill 10 runs. From the bowling side Gourav took 5 important wickets, Archit Mahajan took 2 wickets while Sannat & Sachin Shared 1 wicket for his team.
In reply Vridhi Royals chased the target in 12-3 overs by losing 2 wickets thus won the match by 8 wickets. Smarpit scored 57 runs, Anshul 28 runs and Arya made 22 runs. From the bowling side Mannu and Rohan Gill took 1 wicket each.
Gourav was declared as man of the match for his great bowling spell.
The another match between Horizon Sports Eleven and Mayank Cricket Academy was stopped after the completion of 15.5 overs due to the rain and at that stage horizon eleven was at 95 runs for 3 wickets. The executive organizing members including Rajesh Gill, Arjun Choudhary,Ashish Singh & Rakesh Koul present on the occasion decided & intimated to the teams that the same match shall be replayed on 17th of November,2020 at 1 pm. The matches were officiated by Ashok Kumar, JD Singh, Vijay Dhar, Sabastian and Sanju.
Next Matches of the tournament on 17th of November,2020 : Samar Cricket Club Versus Samba Cricket Eleven at 9.30 am and Horizon Kings Versus Mayank Cricket Academy at 1 pm informed by Rajesh Gill Coordinator of the event.
