BJP opens election office, forgets to place Maharaja Hari Singh’s picture at right place

Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 15: Rather than getting a proper space at walls, a portrait of the last Dogra ruler of Jammu and Kashmir Maharaja Hari Singh was placed at ground during a function of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJPs) local unit in a the revenue district Kathua.
The reasons for placing the portrait at ground are unknown but a link could be found between the failure of BJP led state as well as Union administration to formally announce holiday on Maharaja Hari Singh’s birthday and the respect given to the portrait.
According to the photographs circulated on social networking sites as well as in possession of Early Times, for the upcoming Panchayat by-polls as well as District Development Council (DDC) elections, a Pahari district Unit of BJP opened an election office.
The district president of the Pahari Zila of BJP could be seen sitting on chair while the portrait of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, incumbent Prime Minister Narender Modi as well as BJP president JP Nadda, could be seen hanging at the walls.
Though the portrait of Maharaja Hari Singh is large in size than all other photographs in the office but had found place just beneath the table on the ground. Only the upper portion of the portrait of Maharaja Hari Singh is visible while remaining portion is below the table and is not seen.
“From the visible pictures, it looks as Maharaja Hari Singh is not important and BJP leaders as well as workers have taken in far granted to give respect to Maharaja Hari Singh”, a politician said, adding, “Even if it is an unintentional human error but Could the same unintentional human error can happen with the portrait of Prime Minister Narender Modi or Amit Shah or Dr. Jitendra Singh?”.
The political further said that such casual approach towards the portrait of Maharaja Hari Singh, showed something hidden among the BJP leadership, which talked about Maharaja Hari Singh to get Dogra sympathy and votes but same leadership has so far been failed to announce holiday on the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh, which was demanded time and again by Dogras of Jammu.
The senior leadership of the party should take notice of the entire matter and pass necessary instructions to the rank and files of the party to show respect to Maharaja as well as work for officially announce holiday on Maharaja Hari Singh’s birthday.
