Sohanjana witness of political negligence since decades: Manjit Singh
11/16/2020 1:05:27 AM

Early Times Report

JAMMU, Nov 15: Apni Party Provincial President and Former Minister Manjit Singh today accused previous Govts and BJP in particular for ignoring Sohanjana area in the City outskirts with regard to development in the area.
“Negligence of the Govts and the BJP has compelled the people to pin hopes with the Apni Party from Sohanjana. The political parties have given assurances and did nothing on ground for development,” said the Former Minister Manjit Singh.
He welcomed Sureshta Rani into the party who along with supporters joined the Apni Party. On joining the Party, Kumari expressed hope that their issues will be redressed and the area which is facing official apathy from the administration and the political parties will be heard. Seema Kumari, Kulwant Singh, Ghar Singh, Kaseb Chand, Roop Lal and others joined the Apni Party alongwith Suresta Rani here at Gandhi Nagar. The joining programme was organised by Tajinder Singh, Joginder Singh, RK Lalotra and others. The function was also attended by Ex-MLA Ghulam Nabi Shah and State OBC Coordinator Madan Lal Chalotra.
“It was unfortunate that the people of this area have been deprived of what was their constitutional right and it had to be guaranteed by the respective Govts. However, all of them have ignored leaving the people in sheer hopelessness,” said Provincial President, Manjit Singh.
Manjit Singh was concerned about the people who have moved from post to pillar to the officials and the political parties but they were hardly heard.
“Apni Party is unlike other political parties who have exploited people with emotional slogans. We will do positive politics and win the hearts of the people. We will do whatever is best for the area. We will leave no stone unturned to highlight the demands of the people,” said Manjit Singh while speaking before the gathering.
He said that the BJP, Congress Party, NC and PDP all of them have forgotten people and now engaged in DDC polls. “They work in coordination to show to the people that they are against each other’s policies. However, their policies and fiery speeches benefit each other for both the reasons. Hence, again they have come out of their political offices to mislead people like they did in the last 70 years,” said Manjit Singh.
Manjit Singh said that “BJP and Congress Parties speak different languages when they are in Kashmir, Delhi and Jammu. Their double standard has been exposed before the people.”
