Three day power lifting championship concludes

Jammu, Dec 22: The three days Jammu and Kashmir UT Power Lifting and Deadlift championship unequipped and equipped Sub Junior, Junior, Senior & Master (Men & Women) concluded at Hollister Fitness Gym Sainik Colony, Jammu.
The championship was organized by ALL J&K UT Power lifting association and was held under the observer of J&K State Sports Council Inderjit Singh Weightlifter & Powerlifting Coach.
Deputy Mayor of Jammu Purnima Sharma was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Baldev Singh Baloria (Municipal Chairman), Narinder Singh (Corporator), Parshotam Mengi (Deputy Superintendent of J&K Police), Abhay Pargal, Pummy Bawa & Charanjeet Singh was the special guest who distribute prize among the winner and runner up players.
In Powerlifting Championship Sandeep Singh and Amita Devi won best lifter in Senior unequipped while Vickramjeet Singh won best lifter in Senior equipped, Gourav Sharma, Ronit Verma & Samreen Kour won best lifter in Junior equipped & Unequipped while Vishawjeet Singh and Aman Saini won best lifter in sub junior unequipped and equipped, Ravinder Singh & Rajesh Gupta won best lifter in master category.
In deadlift championship Bhuvan Vasudev won best lifter award both in senior, & Junior category. Around 300 players participated from various district of J&K including Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Kishtwar, Doda, Poonch & Rajouri in this championship.
Vickramjeet Singh broke all the previous record and set new record in squat by lifting 440 kg & 250 kg in bench press with the total of 960 kg in + 120 kg category by Roshan Sharma also set new record in squat event by lifting 355 kg in 120 kg category & Adil Ashraf Khan also set new record in squat by lifting 282.5 kg in 93 kg category.
The officials of the association who organized J&K UT Power Lifting & Deadlift Championship in well mannered under the rule and regulation of Power Lifting India, namely Ajay Sharma General Secretary, Rahul Sawhney Senior Vice President, Gulzar Singh Vice President, Adil Ashraf Khan District General Secretary, Sanjeev Singh Joint Secretary, Vinay Sharma Media Secretary & executive member of the association namely Deepak Jyoti, Sumit Gupta, Anshuman Sharma, Joginder Kumar, Sandeep Banmotra, Gourav Gupta, Suresh Pal, Sajjad, Aslam Kohli & Vishal Sharma. The championship was sponsored by Hollister Fitness Gym, Galaxy Gym & Winni Cakes.
