MP Jamyang Tsering Nam gyal inaugurates 9 petrol outlets of IOCL in Ladakh

Ladakh, Dec 22: In Ladakh, Member of Parliament Jamyang Tsering Namgyal has inaugurated Nine petrol outlets of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) today. These petrol pumps are located in areas that include snow bound Zanskar and second coldest habitation in the world, Drass. On the occasion at Shey Smanla outlet, Jamyang also inaugurated the sale of Winter Grade Diesel with a pour point of minus 33 degrees Celsius. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jamyang said with the special attention of the Centre, the Union Territory Ladakh is receiving winter comforts. Increase in petrol outlets with the winter grade diesel would facilitate the mobility in the region. Similarly, four LPG cylinders to each family is also an historic step towards welfare of the people in snow bound villages. Similarly, he said that the new facility for Air Traffic Fuel also helps the civilian airlines to carry more essential commodities during the winter to Ladakh. Jamyang also launched a 5 KG LPG cylinder, Chhotu, today. Thiksey Councillor Stanzin Chosphel, IOCL Senior officials Amarendra, Rajiv Yadav, AK Wazir, Rigzin Wangtak also participated in the programme. IOCL Executive Director Sujoy Choudhury said, Ladakh region requires different design in all aspects, to provide all weather services. He said, IOCL developed winter lubes are under final trials, to cater in freezing Ladakh winters. Mr. Choudhury said, IOCL is also working on alternative energies to meet the demands in Ladakh region.
