BJP bags 1 seat only, Independent candidates made their way in north Kashmir

BARAMULLA, Dec 22: According to official figures till six to seventh round of counting, JKPC bagged 2, JKPDP 3, JKNC 2, JKAP 1, INC 2, and 3 Independent in this north Kashmir district on Tuesday.
According to the official figures details Safina Beig (Independent) won from Wagoora, Adv Irfan Hafeez Lone (Independent) won from Sangrama, Sonaulla Parrey (PC) won from Pattan, Razia Hassan (PDP)Won from Narwaw, Shabir Ahmad Lone (NC) won from Rohama, Qurat ul Bashir (PDP) won from Baramulla,Taj Mohidin (Congress) won from Paranpila, Parmeet kour (PC) won from Rafiabad, Muzaffar Ahmad Dar (Independent) won from Tujjer Sharif Sopore, Shah Jahan Ahmad Dar (Congress) won from Zaingair, Mohd Ismail Khan (NC) won from Boniyar, Tajamul Ishfaq (JKAP) won from Tangmarag. In Bandipora district the figures that were updated among thirteen are NC 4, PDP 2, Congress 1, BJP 1,JKPM 1, Independent 3 and, ANC 1.
In Kupwara, NC 2, PDP final round waiting, Congress 1, BJP still waiting, JKAP final round pending, JKPC 5 and Independent 5.
The above figures have been taken till sixth-seventh round of counting of DDC votes that was underway in all three districts of north Kashmir, and more details are emerging.
It is learnt from sources that many votes have been rejected and people said that if EVMs have been made available, the results would have come up very early, instead of old way of counting of paper ballot votes.
However there were total 280 seats among which 140 were for each divisions of J&K.
There are total 2171 candidates in J&K, and 16644 polling stations were set up across the UT of J&K, the elections were conducted in 8 phases.
Total votes polled in Kashmir 978357 and poll summed up at 34.11% in the valley.
There were 1602478 votes were cast by male voters, while 1397830 were cast by female voters in J&K.
The polling was held over eight phases beginning November 28 and ending on December 19 and counting was held today in all districts of J&K.
