Class 10th Result: 17 teachers suspended over poor performance in Anantnag

Srinagar, Feb 18: The authorities in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district have suspended 22 teachers under suspension after three schools recorded ‘Zero percent result’ in class 10th.
In this regard the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Anantnag has issued an official communiqué and said that the staffs associated with the academies of Secondary classes including Headmaster have been placed under suspension.
“7 teachers posted at High School Wantrag have been placed under suspension,” reads the officail communiqué.
At High School Wantrag, 4 teachers were deployed to teach 9 students enrolled in the school; however none among them managed to qualify class 10th result.
10 teachers posted at High School Poru were also placed under suspension after the lone student enrolled in the school failed to qualify class 10th examination.
Similarly, Out of 20 students enrolled in High School Kandiwara of Anantnag, no student qualified for the board examination. 3 teachers out of 5 deployed to teach 20 students have now been placed under suspension.
Chief Education Officer Anantnag told media that the reasons for poor results of the school are being ascertained. “The remedial measures shall be initiated in order to improve the academic performance of the school.”
