Administrative Reforms Secretary reviews working of ARI Trainings Department

Jammu, Apr 1: Immediately after taking over as Secretary to Government, Department of Administrative Reforms, Inspections and Trainings, Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, Amit Sharma, today took a introductory-cum-comprehensive review meeting of the Department in the presence of all officers and HoDs of the department including Director Finance Suresh Koul, Additional Secretaries Syed Muried Shah and Sunaina Mehta, General Managers Government Press, Aijaz Ahmed Akhoon and Purshotam Sharma.
Secretary ARI & Trainings Amit Sharma, who was actively contributing towards execution of major Administrative Reforms Projects like successful implementation of paperless e-Office in all departments and Digitization of Revenue Records of all 20 districts in his previous role as IT Secretary and CEO, JaKeGA, directed the team of ARI Trainings Department to continue with the same spirit of carrying forward Administrative Reforms in all Government Departments which is the need of the hour. Amit mentioned that this is amongst one of the most important departments which is involved in finalising recruitment rules, seniority lists of all departments and organising capacity building and Trainings of employees on a regular basis.
During the meeting, General Managers of both the Government Presses in Jammu and Srinagar shared the challenges faced by them with Secretary Amit Sharma wherein instant directions were given to consolidate all the pending issues and preparing a proposal for full capacity utilisation of same which is otherwise not happening at this moment.
Secretary ARI Trainings Amit Sharma also directed that all kinds of loan applications, migration related applications, should undergo end-to-end Digitization in a time-bound manner so that there is no human interface in same and he further directed for revamping the existing website of the department, making it completely user-friendly and mobile-friendly for the citizens of the Union Territory.
Before culmination, Amit directed that the old pristine glory of Administrative Reforms Department needs to be revived at the earliest and all steps should be taken to taken to impart training through specialised institutes while actively implementing DARPG, GoI guidelines and administrative reforms, also complete winding-up process of Stationery & Printing Department and revamping working of the Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) in J&K.
