| Protesting youth under banner of ABVP hold strong protest against SAC order | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 1: Protesting youth under the aegis of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) today demanded revocation of SAC order under which promotions in the school education department are to be made within the department with no scope for highly qualified youth.
The protesters said that the SAC order is arbitrary and uncalled since it is equivalent to destroying the future of highly qualified but unemployed youth of Jammu & Kashmir. The protesting youth said that 80 percent promotion should be done by appointing the highly qualified youth with the remaining 20 percent among the in-service teachers of the education department.
The protesting youth entered into argument with the police personnel deployed on the road leading from Jammu University to Bikram Chowk. The protesters were not allowed to proceed towards the Bikram Chowk and the police personnel asked them to move away from the protest site. |
