Apni Party comes out in support of Border Battalion aspirants
4/1/2022 11:23:37 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Apr 1: The activists of Apni Party staged a protest demonstration in support of aspirants of the J&K Police Border Battalion here today near Press Club of Jammu.
Demanding justice for the Border Battalion aspirants, scores of workers of Apni Party raised slogans against the LG administration.
The agitated protesters when tried to take out a protest march were stopped by the police personnel following which a minor scuffle between cops and the protesting Apni Party activists took place.
When the protesters were not allowed to move ahead they sat on the road and staged a dharna for some time after which the police detained a few of the Apni Party activists.
“We are seeking justice for the Border Battalion aspirants who are being denied their legitimate right by the government. Our protest is against the delay in the conduct of the examinations while also seeking the cancellation of the re-advertisement notification issued recently,” said a protester.
The protesters said that the administration is taking the demands of Border Battalion aspirants in a casual manner since they suppose that the aspirants belong to border areas and know nothing but they are well aware of their rights.
“The government is only giving false assurances of addressing the issue, but nothing has been done so far,” they said.
They said that the government is not ready to listen to the issues raised by the Border Battalion aspirants even as they are protesting for the last several months.
“The government has to listen to the aspirations of the border youth, they cannot mould the rules as per their will,” the protesters said.
“We will continue to protest against the anti-youth policies of the government and to seek justice for the Border Battalion aspirants. We are ready to pay any price for the genuine issues of the youth,” they added.
