| Samba residents hold protest against NHAI; demand proper rehabilitation | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 4: Residents and farmers of Samba today carried out a protest against National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) against its alleged failure to compensate the people in lieu of the land donated towards NHAI for development of road.
The farmers said that they are paying petty amount as compensation amount and said that they should be paid market rates as given to the people at Kathua and other places.
They said the shopkeepers are being evicted illegally from their properties adding that they should be rehabilitated properly. |
