No action against seditious Lone: BJP loses another opportunity
2/12/2018 11:09:52 PM
Abodh Sharma Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 12: As the budget session of the state legislature culminated on Monday, BJP lost another opportunity to establish its political assertiveness in the coalition government, by taking no action against the NC MLA and former speaker Mohd. Akbar Lone for making seditious statements on the floor of the House. Many believe that an action under rules governing the conduct of the House against the MLA by the Speaker would have helped BJP establish its political authority in the state; But the party missed that opportunity when there was no discernable action against Lone who raised pro Pakistan slogans in the House when the Pakistani terrorists were killing the unarmed family members of our Jawans at Sunjwan. While Lone was recorded on cameras justifying his treachery, Speaker did not even suspend him from the House for his condemnable and shameful utterings. "An action against Lone was imperative as he has been the Speaker of this august House, which makes his act more deplorable" said a college student who was privy to the ugly incident from ...

Why Congress doesn't look at its own track record?
Shopian: FIR against Maj Aditya
2/12/2018 11:09:15 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 12: Congress leaders in J&K are raising a hue and cry to identify themselves with the 3 killed stone-pelters in Shopian in their desperate attempt to create some political space for their party in Kashmir. They, like the separatists and half-separatists, want a stringent action against the army personnel who, they alleged, killed "civilians in Shopian" and support the J&K Government's stand that FIR against Major Aditya and 9 other jawans will be taken to its "logical conclusion". Jawans had opened fire at Shopian in self-defence. Had they not done so, a violent mob of 200 to 250 stone-pelters would have lynched the jawans. The Congress, like other Kashmir-ba...

Sunjuwan Terror Attack
2/12/2018 11:08:16 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 12: When in opposition the BJP used to attack and corner the Congress for what it would call its "weakened Pakistan and Kashmir policy". It would ask it to declare Pakistan a terrorist state and give a freehand to the Army so that it could eliminate the menace of separatism and terrorism in Kashmir Valley. It would stage walkout after walkout from the Parliament saying the Congress government's responses to its questions and queries were unsatisfactory. It would also accuse the Congress-led UPA Government of adopting a soft approach towards secessionism in Kashmir, as also to the cult of stone-pelting. But when it came to the BJP, it also thought it prudent t...
