Akhter's rationalisation fails to impress CM's special secretary

SRINAGAR, June 22: The tall claims of transparency in Education system fall flat as special Secretary to the Chief Minister has violates orders of Education Minister with impunity and transfers influential teachers to prime locations. Violating a well appreciated order of the education Minister, Nayeem Akhter seeking rationalization teachers in District Budgam were transferred for the first time in many years as per need of staff in Schools.
One Special Secretary to the Chief Minister while misusing his position transfers influential teachers back to their previous positions while as helpless are posted in far flung areas.
The documentary evidence in possession of early times reveals that according to one order under number 8494, dated 02/06/2015, Chief Education Officer of Budgam ordered transfer of four influential teachers within one month after they were transferred to two other schools of the area as per need of staff under rationalization manner as directed by the Education Minister.
The content of one such letter in which four influential teachers namely Anju Raina, Kanchan, Mamta Kumari and Poonam managed their prize postings back within a month reads as
"Special adjustment of PMSP teachers" and further elaborates: "As Desired by the Chief Ministers special Secretary, the following teachers working against PMSP who have been recently rationalized be please considered for special adjustment."
In another letter under number 425-28, dated 18/06/2015, one influential teacher also recruited under PMSP package who along with three other teachers was transferred under rationalization from Muti-bugh Humhama of central Kashmir's Budgam District to Tukripora within one month managed posting as per his wish in one school Baginder village.
At a time when influential teachers manage postings as per their will and wish in education department, one female helpless teacher earlier posted at Baginder of Humhama informed Early Times that despite repeated requests to the concerned officials did not consider her case. It is in place to mention that the teacher has a toddler to look after and is not in a position to travel 20 kms daily.
Two other female teachers while expressing their helplessness said that 'rules are meant for fools in education department which now authorities present as a transparent sector as according to them posting of influential teachers creates problems for helpless teachers in the long run.
Zonal Education officer Budgam,Ghulam Hassan while confirming use of influence in posting of influential teachers said that so far he received one letter from the Chief Education officer which according to him has come from the Chief Minister's office asking for transfer of four teachers as a special adjustment and he obeyed the order of his higher ups.
When Contacted Director School Education, Showkat Hussain Beg said that whatever has happened so far is bad and not acceptable and he will look in to the matter personally and assured action against the people involved.
