ET Report
Jammu, July 25: Announcement of former controversial PRO of ex-Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand, Kewal Sharma to give statement against his own ex-boss in the court of law is just a beginning to target former Congress ministers who were involved in corrupt and immoral activities during their tenure.
Highly placed sources said that Kewal, who was hiding since formation of PDP-BJP government in the State, came out in open after he was assured protection by some BJP leaders and administration.
BJP leaders have started a secret programme to lure some mischievous elements like Kewal Sharma to use them against former ministers who were financially and morally corrupt.
Kewal, while interacting with media persons on Friday, had announced to give statement against his ex-boss in the court of law on next hearing.
As reported earlier Jammu and Kashmir High Court (Jammu Wing) on last Tuesday had directed police to produce the entire records of the enquiry which led to withdrawal of complaint against former Tara Chand accusing him of murder, corruption and rape.
Court of Justice Bansi Lal Bhat had directed Director General of Police, J&K and Senior Superintendent of Police, Jammu to furnish all records of the enquiry report where-by the then SSP Jammu Atul Goel (IPS) closed the com-plaint lodged by a petitioner seeking constitution of SIT to probe the allegations leveled by one KewalSharma on July, 26, 2013 at a press conference in Jammu against the then Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand. Kewal Sharma had alleged that the then Deputy Chief Minister is involved in murder of three persons, corruption, immorality and rape of two Jammu based girls. Besides this Kewal Sharma also alleged apprehension of elimination at the hands of the then Deputy Chief Minister.
As reported earlier by the Early Times in its July 19 edition, BJP ministers are collecting evidences against former Congress Ministers to take them to task. Some officers have been deployed especially for this task to rope in some close confidents of former ministers who would be helpful in providing some sufficient information about misdeeds of former ministers.
